Brain Fog ? Confused ?

Ever wondered why you cant think straight or can't concentrate properly on what appear to be simple tasks.  You may drop things or just forget what you are doing, or went in the Kitchen for ?  Well dont worry, brain fog can be due to mental distress or disorder and hopefully will just be a phase.  It may feel frightening for a while and you may feel out of control of yourself and your mind but if you worry you will only make it worse.  Accept it as it is and have plenty of rest.  Give yourself a break and allow yourself to take some "time out" just for you.  Trying to rush things or continuing to write "to do" lists will just escalate the problem.  Try to work through what is going on.  Ask yourself what are you worrying about and is it a "Real threat" Or a "Perceived threat" born out of Mental illness symptoms ? Sometimes it may be something we have to face and come to terms with and when we have hopefully the symptoms will subside, it may be due to a chemical imbalance, it may take months to feel right, it may take years but "Don't beat yourself up" for not being as good as you used to ! Let yourself off and move into a life of Recovery and Management rather than being frightened of symptoms. If you have a symptom, just say "Ok then, thats new but hey, Ill deal with it !!"
